It is a good idea to save money day by day, as possible as we can, for the children who were affected by the cyclone nargis in Myanmar. I agree with you that we have to do for long-term.
On the other hand, what we should keep in our mind is that we are not spending our money and time for less important things. As you know, in every international events, Myanmar students are lagged behind others. That does not mean we do not have abilities. We showed that now we, Myanmar students, have abilities by participating at Asean festival.
Yes, our MSA Tokyo was born to help the victims of cyclone. I agree. But this is founded informally. there is only one objective. There is no president, no vice president, no secretary, no treasurer, no representatives from the respective schools. Thus we should not stop in one stage. We should expand our group. To expand our group, we should grasp every opportunities. I mean we should participate big and well-known international events. By doing so, our MSA group activities will be recognized by other Myanmar students in Japan. Hopefully, they will become interesting at our group.
And then we should establish Myanmar Students’ Association formally. Up to now, member status is just about 30 students. There are many students who still does not know about our group, and many students who knows about the group but still do not join to MSA. So we should invite them to join our group.
First thing we need to do is “Gathering Myanamr Students”. Second thing we need to do is to establish the group formally. Third, we should elect executives and representatives from each school. After establishing the MSA formally, we may operate our group activities effectively by division of works and times.
This is my opinion. May be someone has better idea than mine.
